The Nikon Coolpix L20 is very compact and lightweight (little over 100g) 10 Megapixel digital camera that comes with 3.6 x NIKKOR zoom lens and 3’’ LCD screen. The camera is a true point and shoot model that nevertheless comes with a few different shooting modes: scene, smile, movie, macro and auto mode, and is also capable of recording movies with sound. The auto mode works well for most of the cases, however, if the pictures are blurred, dark, or not of the best possible quality, then the user should take the time to read the included manual, learn how to adjust the various setting and experiment with them for best results. The Nikon Coolpix L20 has a Smart portrait system that enables the photographer to take brilliant portrait photos. Users CommentsThe first few shots that I took with this camera weren’t good at all: the quality was terrible, the images dark, and there was some pixellation too. However, I started working my way through the manual and learning how to operate the camera and now the photos that I take are ten times better – in fact, I can proudly say that roughly 90% of what I shoot looks great even though this is my first digital camera ever. What I really like is the large display and the ease of use, and I also love the stylish design. | |

The Nikon Coolpix S220 is a 10 Megapixel, stylish digital camera that weighs only 100g and is very compact. It has 3 x optical zoom lens and 2.5’’ high resolution LCD screen. The ISO sensitivity can be adjusted to seven different settings, starting from 80 and going up to 2000 and there is also Auto option (ISO from 80 to 800) and High ISO Sensitivity Auto option (ISO from 80 to 1600). Other features of this model are the Image stabilization that helps the photographer avoid camera shake and take blur-free images, Scene auto detector that automatically adjusts the camera settings for the most frequently photographed scenes, Smart portrait system with Smile mode and Blink proof mode that can be very useful when photographing people. Users CommentsThe built of this camera is actually great and the camera itself very small and easy to slip in the pocket; the pictures quality is good for most occasions, but if you want superb quality, then you might want to consider another model. This one is perfect for shooting family gatherings, taking photos of your kids and pets, and taking holiday shots, but personally whenever I need perfect high-resolution shots, I use my DSLR. | |

This model is ideal for anyone who is after a true point and shoot model – it comes with sixteen different scene modes, Easy Auto mode that takes the available light into account, and makes use of three different anti-blur technologies, including electronic vibration reduction. The blink warning and smile mode are great when taking portrait photos and the Smart portrait mode comes with built-in red eye removal and advanced face priority features as well. Users CommentsI am truly impressed with the quality of the photos that the Nikon L22 takes – perfectly clear images, great colors, and truly bright photos! It is also very small and light, but doesn’t have that cheap plastic feel that most digital cameras under 100 pounds have. The LCD monitor is also large enough for me and easy to see even when the sun is really bright, the movies that I record every now and then also come out great and all in all this is an excellent product for the price. | |
