[06/11/2010] Be Careful When Buying Package Deals
When purchasing a new digital camera, a package deal could not only save you time, but some money as well. Almost all compact cameras are shipped either with no batteries at all or with the cheapest batteries that have a short life and also come with insufficient memory as well. Apart from larger external memory and stronger and longer-lasting battery, you might want to purchase a case, monopod or tripod, and number of other useful accessories. In that case, a package deal might sound as your best option as many merchants offer digital cameras and quite a good number of add-ons for what seem to be an extremely low price. Well, this is not always the case and you should always take the time to calculate if a package deal is actually likely to save you money or not. The prices of batteries and memory cards have dropped considerably and cases could be found easily for less than ten pounds – a package deal is often a marketing trick, which merchants use to get rid of their older or substandard equipment and taking the time to carefully examine what is being offered would help you make an informed decision.
