[06/11/2010] Don't Stick with a dSLR Kit Lens
If you are a professional photographer or an amateur that takes photography seriously, then you are likely to be using a DSLR camera instead of the much cheaper and limited compact digital cameras. If you are on the market for a newer and better DSLR, then consider buying the body only and later on purchase separate lens kit. Commonly, the lens kits that are sold together with the DSLR body come with limited zoom range and if you spend just a bit more money, you are likely to purchase a lens kit that would let you take pictures from far greater distance or offer wider angle. The typical included lens kit has a zoom range of 18-55mm and before you spend money on it, you should look at a lens kits with 200mm zoom, find out how much they cost, and only then make your decision.
